Banknote 50 Pesetas - 1935
Banknote of 50 Pesetas, Banco de España, dated 22 July 1935, issued in Madrid and featuring the distinguished Spanish scientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal on the obverse. The note bears serial number 7280840, ornate allegorical decoration, and the denomination prominently displayed in both numerals and lettering.
The reverse presents a finely engraved view of the Cajal monument and fountains, with the large watermark area clearly visible. Circulated condition, showing central folding, age-related toning and soiling, softened edges, and minor wear/creases including small edge imperfections. An appealing historical example for collectors of Spanish banknotes, pre-war issues, and scientific or cultural-themed paper money.
